Pets

On request, you are welcome to bring your four-legged friend, aka dog, on holiday with you. All other animals, such as cats, birds, etc. (you would be amazed at what we had seen), are not allowed. We ask you to read through our dog etiquette below and then decide whether your furry friend will come on holiday with you.

  • You are welcome here as a well-behaved pet
    We ask your family to only take you on holiday if you are house trained. If there is an additional cleaning of the room and other places in the hotel, we have to charge 50 euros per cleaning. That could definitely be better spent on treats …
  • Please don’t stay locked up in your room alone
    You are in an unfamiliar environment. Ask your family not to leave you alone in your room for long periods of time and to calm you down immediately if you bark. Many guests look for peace and relaxation in our house.
  • Don’t forget to bring your favourite bed with you
    We ask your family to bring your dog bed from home, as for hygienic reasons, which we hope you understand, you are not allowed to sleep in our beds and please do not exercise on any other furniture. If there is an additional cleaning of the room and the furniture, we have to charge 50 euros per cleaning. That could definitely be better spent on toys …
  • Other people have to get to know you first
    To make sure that other guests and our staff, who don’t know you, don’t get scared of you, we would ask you to remember to put on a lead when you leave your room at our hotel.
  • A friendly character will get you far
    You are welcome to join us in the restaurant on request and if possible, as long as you are friendly to the other guests and other dogs and do not disturb anyone
  • Let us know when we can clean your room
    Please understand that your room cannot be cleaned if you are alone in the room. Please ask your family to let us know when we can clean the room.
  • We kindly ask your family to dispose of your “business” according to the regulations. That applies to the entire hotel property and also in the surrounding area. You will find the rubbish bin for disposing of dog bags in the car park behind the hotel or directly at Lago di Meggima.
  • Our furniture is not for chewing.
    We ask you not to use the furniture in our hotel as a toy, as we will unfortunately have to charge your family for any damage. And then you might not get any tasty treats …
  • If you travel using public transport …
    …then your family should think about putting a muzzle on you and putting you on a lead. That way nothing can get in the way of your next adventure.

Non-smoking house

We are a non-smoking house. That means that smoking is only permitted on our terraces or balconies, but never inside the building or in front of windows. Our fire alarm system is very sensitive and picks up on everything, so it’s best not to even try. 😉

Deposits

To confirm your booking, we ask you to pay a deposit of 30 % of the total price within three days. You can pay the deposit via bank transfer or directly here by credit card. The deposits paid will not be refunded.

Our cancellation policy

  • Cancellation within 3 months before arrival: there are no cancellation fees, the deposit will be refunded in full.
  • Cancellation within 3 months and 1 month (30 days) before the start of the trip: the deposit per room will be charged as a processing fee.
  • Cancellation within 30 days and 7 days before departure: 70 % of the booked travel price will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • Cancellation within 7 days before departure: 90 % of the booked travel price will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • In the event of early departure or no-show: 100 % of the booked travel price will be charged.

We recommend that you take out our travel cancellation insurance: European Travel Insurance – Hogast.
