The Magic of Water

The Pastors' House in Lutago hosts an exhibition dedicated to the magic and the power of water. In cooperation with the German artist Peter Schreiner, this extraordinary museum has been realised in the cellar rooms of the house.

Tures Castle

The medieval Tures Castle is one of the most beautiful and biggest castles in South Tyrol. Once, this was the residence of the Masters of Tures. Today, the historic castle is in the possession of the South Tyrolean Castle Institute and hosts special exhibitions and cultural events.

Gallery for Asthmatics in Predoi

A very special micro-climate has developed in the former mines in Predoi. The pure, allergen and pollen-free air, mainly sooths illnesses of the respiratory tract and breathing complaints. The health gallery can be reached with the mine railway, which brings visitors about 1,000 metres into the mine. Here you can find peace and recreation.

Grain Storage Mining Museum

The goods needed for the mining business were once stored in the grain storage of the copper mine in Predoi. In this area you can now find the Mining Museum with exhibition pieces mainly deriving from the private collection of Earl von Enzenberg, and telling the entire history of the copper mine.

Museum of Minerals

The Museum of Minerals in the Aurina Valley hosts more than 950 exhibits from the Zillertal Alps and the Hohen Tauern. A highlight is the rose quartz from South Tyrol and the multimedia show featuring the formation, the finding, the collection, and the medicinal effect of minerals.

Maranatha Crib Museum

Visiting the Crib Museum provides a special highlight especially during Christmas time. The lovingly decorated museum in Lutago hosts the most beautiful cribs in Europe with exhibits from different countries. You can also visit the sculpture workshop and observe artists during their work.

Vedrette di Ries-Aurina Nature Park

The Vedrette di Ries-Aurina Nature Park comprises the communities of Campo Tures, Gais, Perca, Rasun-Anterselva, Valle Aurina and Predoi and is the second-biggest nature park in South Tyrol. The high-alpine landscape in the Nature Park is characterized by rough peaks and glaciers, as well as numerous rivers and lakes. Discover this unique landscape during the numerous hikes offered.
The Vedrette di Ries-Aurina Nature park House is located in the town hall of Campo di Tures. Here you get to know more about the formation of mountains, plants, animals and humans in the Nature Park.

Pine Oil Distillery and Herbal Garden "Bergila"

Bergila is a family-operated business in the South Tyrolean Alps. This is the third generation of the family specialising in the production of ethereal oils and herbal products. They use wild herbs from high-alpine locations or from their own organic herbal garden. The harvested plants are used for the production of ethereal oils in their own distillery. From harvesting to filling, all the steps involved with the production in Bergila are done by hand in order to preserve the energies of the plants as well as possible.

Golf Course

The Golfclub Val Pusteria is located at the bottom of the Plan de Corones ski resort. This 9-hole golf course is suitable for both, beginners and advanced golfers. The golf course further offers a Club House with restaurant and shop, an exercise area with driving range, chipping green, practice bunker and two putting greens. The golf school offers private and group lessons.

Museum of Ethnography in Teodone

In the Museum of Ethnography in Teodone you can visit old farmhouses, handcraft rooms and the Mair am Hof manor. During a guided tour you will be informed about popular art, tradition and the everyday life of farmers.

Museum of Archaeology in Bolzano

In the South Tyrolean Museum of Archaeology you get to know the entire history of South Tyrol from the Old Stone Age to the Mesolithic and to Carolingian Time.
Amongst others, you can also admire probably the most popular glacier mummy in the Alps. Ötzi was found by two tourists in the Ötztal Alps 20 years ago. This mummy is approximately 5000 years old. The mummy and its equipment can be viewed by visitors!

Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle

The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle are one of the most popular excursion destinations in South Tyrol. A very unique and varied fauna awaits visitors. In the various garden areas you can find natural forest types from America and Asia, Mediterranean landscapes, original landscapes from South Tyrol, and European gardening art.

Messner Mountain Museum

Reinhold Messner has dedicated a museum project with five unique locations in the Alps to the mountains and their culture. The museum provides a meeting point for mountains, humans and finally, also each individual. The Messner Mountain Museum at Brunico Castle will be opened in spring 2011.
